This was inspired by the sound of larks on a bright blue summer day. However as I looked up to see them I couldn't see any (my eyesight isn't too bad either!). It was as if they had merged into the blue.

"Gathering Darkness" 2011.

I am uncertain about selling this as it is my favourite mosaic to date. It is inspired by many photos, films and real-time experiences of flocking birds. The idea I had is similar to the "How the Sky Becomes Blue" and "The Birds The Bring The Dusk", that being that it is the birds who make up the colour of the sky.
