Interesting subtle blue green coloured Venetian smalti. Size 2cm x 1cm.
Smalti is a beautiful hand made strong coloured mosaic glass, originally made for Byzantine mosaics for Mediterranean basilicas. It is still made today for modern mosaic art. Cuts easily with mosaic nippers.
