Testimonials

“I have done several courses with Kate, and they have all been excellent. I started as a complete beginner, and she explained things in a simple and strightforward manner, sending me home with a mosaic picture to hang on my wall. Since then I have done several more courses, learning different techniques, and each time I left with something to be proud of.
The classes are generally small in number, which means she is able to give one-to-one attention as required, but will leave us to our own devices if that is what we prefer. A lovely lady who knows her craft, and she is generous with tea, coffee and biscuits! Definitely recommended.” “
– Carol.

“The sculpture mosaic course was relaxed and enjoyable as are all Kate’s courses. It was explained clearly how to use the materials we hadn’t used before and then over the two days Kate was very attentive to us all but gave us plenty of time to work at our own pace, which I think is the best kind of learning. The group were pleasant and I enjoyed seeing everyone’s pieces
develop with out own styles.” – Suzette.

“The morning session involved us creating a small piece and after lunch we embarked on a larger scale piece. Kate’s work was on display and was an encouraging motivator and inspiration. Her teaching style made us believe that we were fully capable of producing a mosaic – I was a total beginner- and I ended up taking home 3 pieces! One can only hope to one day produce something as beautiful as she has done.
Thank you Kate for rearranging the date of the course so I could attend” – Steffie

“Thank you for such a lovely weekend. I’m really pleased with my Dragonfly, its now sitting in my conservatory looking beautiful! I do hope that you will be able to run other courses either at Ammerdown or else where.
I’m now bursting with ideas of what I would like to do next.” – Belinda Coney.

“Kate was very inspiring and very patient. I felt I learnt such a lot, and I enjoyed the last course so much that I am going to do it
again this summer.” – Annie Wynn-Jones

“Kate’s course was really interesting and informative. I had previously constructed mosaics using the direct method so wanted to learn
the indirect method also which was achieved on her 2 day session. Meeting the others on the course and seeing their work was good fun and made
a very enjoyable break.” – Caroline Nairn

“I have attended 3 of Kates workshops. Her light touch as a tutor and her skill, knowledge and enthusiasm have enabled me to develop
from a complete novice to a competent mosaicist. I have produced a number of pieces which are much admired, and have discovered an activity which
is both creative and therapeutic.” – Jean Kinloch

“A very productive 2 days” – Harriet Hall

“I loved being in the workshop and seeing all your mess and colour!” – Gill Tindal
