Red mix smalti

Description

A mix of red coloured Venetian smalti. Size 2cm x 1cm and some smaller.

Please note, some of the tesserae have a little cement on them, hence the lower price.
Smalti is a beautiful hand made strong coloured mosaic glass, originally made for Byzantine mosaics for Mediterranean basilicas. It is still made today for modern mosaic art. Cuts easily with mosaic nippers.
