It’s less than 2 weeks to go before my course at Ammerdown, and there are still some places left if you are interested in coming along. Beginners or those with experience can attend. Lions Roar Weekend
If you read my last post about the glass on glass technique, you may have recognized the blue glass mosaic with the orange circles. It is a design based on Zillion’s body. This was the first of a small series of designs based on his body and his mane that I will be exhibiting in…
Venetian journeys
I have been in bed all week following an “excavation” on my wisdom tooth (at least it felt like she was excavating). The dentist took half an hour to pull it out, she had to cut my gum and I had 3 stitches. That’s the first time I have had stiches in my life! The pain…
Sweat and Tears Olympics Sculpture – part 1
This time last year I posted a blog about the Olympic sculpture project “Art at the Edge” and my involvement as a guest artist. Finally I have the time to start my sculpture for it. I decided to make a sculpture that would be about the experience of being an Olympic athlete, a study of…

Wow! Hi is such a handsome guy! I love the final video. I had guessed his name to be Zion so was wrong! You must be so proud and sad to have him go.
Thanks Sam – yes sorry to see him go , but at least I have a bit more room in my workshed!
Thank you for dropping by my blog and letting me know about the video. I’ve always admired mosaics, but have never seen one made, so the video was fascinating and fun. As it played, I couldn’t help thinking it was like a great big 3D puzzle and then I noticed the name of the music! I think Zillion is going to have loads of admirers. If you don’t mind I’d like to put a link in my blog to your post with the video on it. Congrats on a fantastic looking Lion.
Thanks Cheryl
