Mosaic Mix Weekend
I will be running a mosaic mix weekend at the Corsley Centre , Warminster, Wiltshire, on February 6th and 7th 2010.
The aim of the course will be to use many different materials to create a series of small textural mosaics , (or one bigger one if preferred). It will be a great chance to experiment and try a few different things out. There will be smalti, glass, ceramic, marble, stone, gems and marbles available to play with, and you will be encouraged to use a mixture of the materials for each mosaic. I will show you which adhesives will be most suitable to use for the mosaic material and demonstrate how combinations can be assembled for a variety of effects, in respect not only of texture but also colour, contrast, reflectiveness, direction and placing of tile.
